Lenovo T450s M.2 Ssd Slot

I currently use a T530 with two storage drives (mSATA and SSD), but this laptop is a bit too bulky for me to carry around the office so I am considering the T450s.

To further add to the (my) confusion, the T450s Base Specification says 'Single-sided M.2 SSD, via M.2 card slot'. I haven't been able to chase down information on whether the available 256GB drives are single- or double-sided. It may or may not be an issue. Apologies for not having clear answers.

On the Lenovo US site, this laptop is configurable with three storage options:
1. Normal SSD
2. 16GB M2 SSD (pre-installed)
3. (optional) 3rd M2 SSD in place of the smart card reader.

Here is where I have some questions:
1. I am not sure if these parts are field replaceable (like the mSATA slot on my T530) or do I have to configure it online.
2. What kind of SSD fits in these slots? M2 is just the name of an interface which can support many sizes of cards.
3. I don't think RAID is possible, but just confirming.

4. Is it possible to select individual drives for booting; as on the T530 where each drive appears in the boot device options menu (F12 key during startup).
Any help would be appreciated.

Hi everyone, I'm new to this site so be gentle.

I have a Lenovo IdeaPad 320-15ISK model (i3-6006U; 8gb RAM; 1TB hdd). The problem is, the system is painfully slow, especially on startup, so I'm thinking about getting an ssd, but I want to keep the hdd as secondary storage. But, I can't find any information about M.2 compatibility with this product. I've watched a couple disassembly videos, and I think there is an M.2 slot on the MoBo but there isn't any information about this, at least in my knowledge.

So my question is, is there any slot for an upgrade or I need to replace the HDD with a 2,5' SSD drive?

Is this a good question?

Thank you very much. Now I know that the M.2 slot on those videos are for Wlan cards. I will dig into this ODD replacement you mentioned, but I think the easier solution would be to use the replaced HDD as an external storage. Which one would be better / more budget friendly in your opinion?
