Total Rewards Diamond Casino Host

There are also different tiers (e.g diamond 40k/80k and seven stars 150k and 500k) In addition they now have different offers depending if you stay during peak or off peak season. One of the benefits of having Total Rewards Diamond and Seven Star status is that you can enjoy one complimentary stay at the Atlantis Paradise Island Bahamas resort. My Total Rewards Diamond Experience at Harrah’s New Orleans (Thanks to FoundersCard) November 24, 2017 by Harlan 14 Comments Out and Out has partnered with CardRatings for our coverage of credit card products. Frank, I had some news from my host concerning the excessive number of Diamond card holders. It seems that when Harrah's bought Bally's and Caesar's, they didn't really know what to do with some of the high level players at those properties, so decided to err on the side of caution and upgrade a lot of those folks to Diamond - even a few made 7 Stars.

I got a letter in the mail the other day from my new host at the Flamingo (and any other Hararah's property) introducing herself to me. I didn't know my level of play was high enough to warrant a host; I'm currently Platinum but not even close to Diamond.
Having never had a Casino host before, I'm not sure what benefit it will be. I usually book my rooms through the TR website, and I usually have enough offers for free or nearly-free rooms at the low-end properties. I don't really go to shows. I don't really eat out at expensive places. Can she help me with discretionary comps that don't spend my credits?
With regards to gambling, I have dabbled in AP but am not really serious about it. And when I do try to play blackjack with an edge, I generally try to hit the MGM properties with better rules and play anonymously; at Harrah's properties I'm much more likely to just hit the craps table. So I'm not worried about that really.

That is pretty neat! I am a Diamond level player and have never been contacted by a host. I dont play very high either to warrant a host. But I am thinking you could ask for some discretionary comps. Flight rebate? Gas rebate? Never hurts to ask!

If you really want to make the most of it pick up a copy of Comp City by Max Rubin, he really explains how to work the system and how to handle hosts. And it is fun as hell to read.

There's a host at a local casino thats so gorgeous its hardTotal Rewards Diamond Casino Host
to talk to her. Confronting beauty like that in person is
so uncommon I can't handle it. People are always telling
her to move to Vegas, she'll make a fortune as a host.
Think of Sam from the Las Vegas TV show, only better.

I've never received any significant benefit from a host. I'm a mid-range player, and have been surprised to have several contact me. Here's a summary:
Rio - Asked for dinner at Voodoo. Host made the reservation. But I didn't get anything comped, or any special treatment.
Rio - Asked for good tickets to Celine Dion. He said he could get me tickets. No discount. Couldn't tell me where they'd be located. I made my own reservations.
Harrahs - Asked for reservations or front-of-line for dinner for a group at Toby Keith's. Restaurant is not actually affiliated with the hotel, so the host couldn't do anything for me.
Aria - Made my hotel reservation for me (coulda done it myself). Made reservations for me to Crazy Horse at MGM. Except she screwed it up, and got me tickets to Copperfield instead. I had to change tickets at the last minute, and got crappy tickets to Crazy Horse. Woulda been better off doing it myself.

I'll echo the statements of the other Diamond players here that have not been contacted by a host in Vegas, so congrats on that... I'm already close to Diamond for the year (about 400 points to go, which I'll get on my next trip I'm sure).
I do have a host set up at Horseshoe Tunica, and she has been very helpful with me. She got me weekend comped rooms, which aren't impossible to get in Tunica but can be a challenge on the website, and food whenever I needed it. Granted, it was all buffets, but I'm low maintenance. In the past, I got spa reservations at a discount and at least at Horseshoe, they don't have to take it out of your Reward Credits.
As far as Vegas, I'm not sure how the comp system would work. On the one hand, they did diddly for me at Caesars when I checked out, deducting everything off my account; however, I really didn't play all that much, so I guess I don't blame them, and my room was a premium room with a fantastic view.
I don't really think it would be out of line to ask her what she can do for you and what she can't. If she'll just advance you a few meals after using your RC's up, it still might be worth it. If she can do it all without touching your RC's, then it's definitely worth it, though you'll be playing bad games with high house edges if you want to maintain it. If she's just going to drain your account then you're responsible for the rest, I'd say thanks, but no thanks. I don't want to be tied down to Caesars properties in Vegas, when there are so many better gambling deals in town.

How much play does it take to get a host in Tunica?? I'm a middle level blackjack player there, but I'm moving down to Jackson so I'm sure it's all for naught. Hopefully I'll be able to get in a lot of play in Vicksburg now. Any insight on that?

In Tunica if a girl approaches you and says she'll
be your casino host for 15min for $100, she's
talking about something else entirely.

I can't help you with Vicksburg, but the big dog there is Ameristar and they heavily use the host system (at all their other properties). Good news there is that the hosts are pretty free to help you out; bad news is if you go to any other property, you retain your tier status but no points or comps.
As far as Tunica, you can request a host at any time, but Horseshoe is the only casino that really utilizes it. To be honest, they're most helpful in setting up rooms and any meal requests beyond buffets. But most of the time, buffet comps will be given to you if you play about 30 minutes; at Horseshoe, they'll USUALLY ask YOU if you want them. You do need to give them some play, but even a $5 BJ player will be offered a comp (and yet I see people EACH TRIP pay cash!)

At my local casino I call a host if I need a room and don't have any offers. They know I play blackjack and craps and have me in the system as having an average bet of $31, which I think is a little on the high end, though I do tend to play for a lot of hours when I visit. She will never comp my room completely, but she will usually give me a rate of 49-79 dollars for a Friday or Saturday night when the rack rate is obscenely high like in the 200's. She does not deduct points off my player's card, though she puts something in the system because when I go for day trips the pit will always give me a buffet for 2 when I ask but when I'm getting a discounted room I have found that they come over to me and say 'Sorry, we already helped you out a lot on the room' when I ask for the buffet. Never hurts to ask though, I would be up front with her and ask her what she can do for you.

Caesars Rewards is introducing two new levels of “Diamond” status in 2020.

Diamond Plus and Diamond Elite will go into effect for the new loyalty club year, which begins February 2020. It wasn’t that long ago that Total Rewards was rebranded to become Caesars Rewards. The new changes come as CaesarsEntertainment is in the process of merging with Eldorado Resorts.

When the merger completes during the first half of 2020, Caesars will be under new leadership. The changes to Diamond status are modest, and most other benefits will remain intact. If there are drastic changes to Caesars Rewards, they’ll likely go into effect after the company has new ownership.

New Caesars Rewards levels

Total Rewards Resorts And Casinos

It’s not challenging to obtain Caesars Rewards’ Diamond status today. There are several ways to achieve Diamond status, but of course, spending money with Caesars is probably the easiest way.

One of the most popular ways to reach Diamond, aside from spending money at the properties, is to buyaccess. The FoundersCard offers access to premium levels of a variety of travel loyalty programs, including Caesars.

The ability to become a Diamond member without actually spending money at a Caesars Rewards property devalues the benefits for those who are loyal to Caesars. The additional Diamond levels are a way for Caesars to offer aspirational benefits to customers who are genuinely loyal and spend money with the company.

Earn casino rewards and comps playing online games

Diamond Plus: Caesars Rewards members who reach 25,000 tier credits will receive complimentary access to the LaurelLounge. This is the same policy that members with this tier credit have now. Entry for fewer credits is $10 in credits per person. The big difference is these members will receive an exclusive Diamond Plus Caesars Rewards card.

Diamond Elite: Caesars Rewards members that reach 75,000 tier credits will receive a $600 airfare credit to Las Vegas. All members will appreciate this benefit. Former Eldorado Resorts One Club members will especially enjoy this perk since this isn’t available to any level member. These members also receive a new Caesars Rewards Diamond Elite card.

Diamond tier match at Caesars Rewards player loyalty club

One of the reasons Caesars Rewards is creating new tier levels inside the Diamond status is that it’s so easy to achieve. Loyalty isn’t only earned by spending at various Caesars casinos in-person or online.

As previously mentioned, FoundersCard members can gain access to the second-highest tier in Caesars Rewards behind Seven Stars. Another way to reach Diamond status without spending money with the company is with periodic tier-match promotions.

The tier-match promotions are simple and free. Just bring a premium level card from a different casino, and Caesars will match with a Diamond card. Caesars will match tiers with most larger casino operators. Here are some examples of casino loyalty clubs that Caesars will match in Las Vegas:

B Connected (Boyd Gaming)
Onyx
Emerald
Titanium

M life Rewards (MGM Resorts)
Gold
Platinum
Noir

Grazie Rewards (Venetian/Palazzo)
Platinum

Identity (Cosmopolitan)
Gold

Marquee Rewards (Tropicana/M Resort)

ICON

Station Casinos (Red Rock, Palms, etc.)

Caesars Rewards Diamond tier benefits

The Diamond tier of Caesars Rewards has been aspirational for many years. Caesars has two specific benefits that most casino loyalty clubs don’t offer customers. One of the most popular Diamond benefits for years has been earning access to the Diamond Lounge.

The VIP rooms are now called the Laurel Lounge. The amenities in Laurel lounges differ based on the city and casino. For example, Caesars and Bally’s in Atlantic City offer complimentary drinks and a full buffet. Laurel lounges at Las Vegas properties offer complimentary snacks and beverages. Some offer more food but not all day and night, like the New Jersey properties.

The complimentary drinks and snacks are a nice perk. For Caesars customers, there’s something special about having access to this VIP room that most guests will never see.

The latest popular Diamond perk has a significant dollar value. A few years back, Caesars Rewards announced that resort fees are waived for the Diamond tier and above. This can be a significant saving, and it’s not something other casino loyalty clubs offer. Many casinos still charge resort fees for discounted and complimentary rooms. Resort fees for a week at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas would be $350 ($50 per night).

Players should enjoy this benefit while it lasts because it may not be available in the future. There are multiple lawsuits and legislation aiming to remove or reduce the effect of resort fees. If the fees go away, so does one of Caesars’ best perks.

Current Caesars Rewards promotions

Caesars is trying to help customers reach their Diamond tier in 2020.

The iconic casino company is offering even more promotions than the status match. Caesars is offering players a 20% bump in tier credits for the rest of the year.

For every 500 tier credits that players earn, Caesars will offer a 100 tier credits bonus for 2020. Players must visit Caesars to sign up for the promotion and see more information. Guests must preregister before spending money to earn bonus points.

Players earn tier credits by playing slots, video poker and other casino games inside brick-and-mortar casinos or Caesars online casino. Visit Caesars for a full list of ways to earn tier credits inside and outside the casino.
